Box Office: Batman v Superman dominates the weekend

It was no surprise that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has dominated all competition this weekend at the box office.

The DC superhero movie earned $170.1 million from North America and an additional $254 million from 66 international markets for an estimated $424.1 million worldwide. Batman v Superman became the biggest opening ever for a DC Comics movie, beating The Dark Knight Rises $160.9 million.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 did fairly well this weekend with an opening of $18.1 million.
