I solemnly swear, I am up to no good!
Hello mogul legends!
Tired of our boring world without magic? Wish you could see dragons and mystical creatures roam our world? It would be so much more interesting, right? Well, you can in the new David Yates movie Fantastic beasts and where to find them!
Newt Scamander arrives in New-York for the Magical Congress with a very special briefcase on the Olympic (sister ship of the ill fated Titanic!). In the congress, it is open to reveal fantastic beasts and their habitat. What could possibly go wrong? Well, as you may have pictured it, they escaped wich sends the council after Newt President Seraphina Picquery who sends Percival Graves after him. He meets friends Porpentina “Tina”Goldstein a down-to-earth wizard who always wanted to fight for what is right and her big hearted and free-spirited sister Queenie Goldstein one of them a mogul Dan Folger a factory worker who aspires to become baker who meets with Newt and follows his friend in his endeavors, to try and find them all. And this is very important as the creatures escape the barrier between of the magical world and ours. This gets the attention of the wrong people: the Salem Philanthropic Society. You know those who use to burn them and throw them off cliffs, lovely people! There is Mary Lou narrow-minded sinister leader of the Salem Philanthropic Society and Credence her troubled adopted son (I’d be troubled too if she was my mom, hehe! They, no big surprise there, want to get rid of any kind of magic permanently. But what about the magic of love? Haha!
Newton Artemis Fido “Newt” Scamander born in 1897 is the author of “Fantastic beasts and where to find them.” He became a magizoologist after graduating from Hogwards as a Hufflepuff for his love of magical creatures and supports from his mother an enthusiastic Hippogriff breeder.
After graduating he becomes, much like Harry in “The cursed child» play, a member of the Ministry of Magic for Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. His career includes the House-elf Relocation before I’d be transferred to the Beast Division, the creation of the Werewolf Register in 1947, the passage of the ban of Experimental Breeding in 1965 and numerous trips for the Dragon Research and Restrain Bureau. His work in Magizoology earned him an Order of Merlin second class in 1979. Tip to the hat, my friend! Now retired he lives a quiet life with his wife Porpentina Goldstein and their pet “Kneazels” which is a cat with large ears, really cute: Hoppy, Milly and Mauler. His grandson married Luna Lovegood whom we know from Harry Potter and the deathly hollows.
Since I like you, legends, I’ll give you glimpse of the creatures you are going to see through this movie.
First: there’s the Basilisk the snake you should never look directly in his eyes or you will turn to stone.
Second: the centaurs: half horse, half men.
Third: The chimera: sort of half lion half goat body with a dragon tail.
Fourth: (my favorite!) the dragon! Like the Hungarian horntail or the much prettier Thunderbird! I love this one so much! It’s pretty with it two large wings and feathered tail, seems like a giant all-white eagle mixed with a dragon. Don’t tell me riding that thing isn’t on your bucket list!
Fifth : Demiguise : mix between a sloth and a monkey with silver hair! Seems adorable!
Sixth: Occamy: a large snake with a beak who hatches eggs of the purest silver! Cool!
Seventh: finally, the billywig. Don’t like bees? Afraid they are going to sting you? Well, at least they are not as powerful as this beautiful blue-purple-ish wasp. They are extremely dangerous and pack a hell of a punch for wizards and muggles alike!
And much more!
On this I say :
See you all in another article!
